I really wish I had got one of these car seats a long time ago, I never thought it would make such a difference to my dog for when she travels in the car. For a long time I have been using a hammock style dog carrier in the back seat which she would simply sit on and be fastened securely to the seat belt. However, she is not a good traveller and would always be sick within about 30 minutes of any journey and it was horrible seeing her so miserable. I didn’t think anything would ever change that as she is now 3 years old and has always been the same but someone did recommend to me about trying a car seat.This car seat is very well made and was quick and simple to install in my car. In fact it was a lot easier than mucking about with the hammock style seat that we used previously. My dog was a bit unsure when first put in the seat, being something new to her but within about 20 minutes she settled and seemed so much more relaxed. She was obviously a lot more stable and was sat higher up, so could watch out the window with ease. The car seat seems to be very comfortable for her and I am happy to say for the first time on a journey she wasn’t unwell!I am very pleased that the outer cover can also be removed and put in the washing machine. I was a bit concerned this wouldn’t be the case and it would be a nightmare to clean after beach trips and such like, but that is of no concern now. I am also thinking it will be handy when we go on camping trips too and will save me having to take her usual bed with her as she could easily sleep in this and be very cosy.Overall a super product and I would highly recommend, especially for those dog parents who have travel sick pups.
It seemed to be smaller than expected but my dog loves it. Well made and was easy to fit together following the directions.
This is the 3rd car bed I’ve bought for my 1 year old dog, and it’s definitely 3rd time lucky! The first was reasonable but fell apart in the wash, the second was from a well known app for cheap stuff from China, and it was awful quality, but this one is a winner. It’s really sturdy and you can just wash the cover rather than the whole bed, when you need to. It seems really comfortable and it gets the thumbs up from my dog on its test run! Loads of room in it, my dog is just under 4.5kg to give you an idea of size…and there’d be room for another one of her! It secures around the head rest really well, thanks to the adjustable strap and the firmer back to it (made from foam so still soft, but not a floppy cushion like many of these beds). Overall I’m delighted with it.
This car seat is just great. So easy to assemble and proves to be well padded, strong and sturdy. Good quality and a good price. My Pug absolutely loves travelling in it and is certainly very comfortable sitting and laying down in it. Would highly recommend.
I have been surprisingly pleased with the performance of this dog seat. I bought 2 of them for my lively adult terriers. One dog is 10kg and the other 18kg and the seat works for both.They are more robust than I expected and fit securely. They are secured by a strap around the back of the seat and, separately, by use of the seat belt. The dog is then held in the seat by an adjustable lead and clip.The dogs seem comfortable and safe and can still move around within the seat.The ‘white’ colour of the fleecy lining isn’t ideal with muddy paws but the fur is easily removable for washing the outer fabric. I just cover it with a dark towel so I can leave it fitted.The seat takes a few minutes to fit in place but once the straps are set to the right tightness for your car seat it is easier to get in and out if you need to use the seat.I researched my options and this one seemed to be good value especially with a discount.
